Piacenza Podcast Academy launched as IlPod evolves

The IlPod - Italian Podcast Awards, now in its fifth edition, is expanding its cultural initiative with the launch of the Piacenza Podcast Academy, a training program for those interested in podcasting as a creative and professional medium. The academy begins on April 12 and focuses on training, research and sound experimentation.

The revamped award introduces a scientific committee made up of industry professionals responsible for selecting entries across four categories. Listeners will be able to nominate podcasts through a dedicated area on the official website.

  • When: Academy starts April 12; IlPod scheduled for September in Piacenza.
  • What the Academy offers: workshops, guided activities, meetings and exchanges with podcast professionals.
  • Scientific committee (selected members): Rossella Pivanti (director), Maura Gancitano, Fabio Ragazzo, Roberta Lippi, Valerio Nicolosi, Gian Luca Rocco, Jacopo Penzo.
  • Award categories: Podcast of the Year, Indie Podcast of the Year, Podcast History, and the Academy Prize.

By situating the award within the Festival of Contemporary Thought, IlPod emphasizes podcasting’s role in cultural analysis and idea dissemination. More details and participation rules are available at ilpod.it.
