Bruno Lucchi: Mitologica at Granaio di Nomi

The solo exhibition Mitologica by Bruno Lucchi transforms the Granaio di Nomi into a stage for works that merge memory and vision. Drawing on the four classical elements — earth, fire, water and air — the show presents sculptures and installations that explore archetypes, materiality and inner architectures. The exhibition is curated by Remo Forchini, with critical texts by Fiorenzo Degasperi and Riccarda Turrina and black-and-white photographs by Radu Tiron.

  • Artist: Bruno Lucchi (Levico Terme)
  • Exhibition: Mitologica
  • Venue: Granaio di Nomi
  • Dates: 18 April – 9 May 2026
  • Opening hours: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 16:00 to 19:00
  • Opening event: Friday 17 April 2026 at 18:00
  • Curators and contributors: Remo Forchini; critics Fiorenzo Degasperi and Riccarda Turrina; photography by Radu Tiron

The works on display are primarily executed in terracotta, bronze and iron and often combine clay bodies with steel structures. Lucchi's practice investigates feminine, masculine and androgynous figures as well as relational pairs, seeking balance between strength and fragility. The tactile process of working clay is presented as a contemplative act that slows daily chaos and fosters transformation.

Highlights include the monumental installation Tra memoria e visione, standing five and a half meters tall and part of a series conceived for large-scale public settings, and the Barca delle Naiadi, previously shown in Trento. The Saggi series — nearly three-meter terracotta busts with corten steel cores, arranged in a circular configuration — evokes ritual sites and pays homage to figures who have fostered culture and the arts.

Mitologica aims to create an atmosphere of attentive calm: while the works appear still, they imply restrained movement and ongoing becoming, inviting visitors to reflect and to connect with their own imaginative and emotional responses.
