Charting Tomorrow: Youth Perspectives at Palazzo Farnese

On Wednesday 13 May 2026 Palazzo Farnese will host a new edition of the Notte delle Idee, an evening of discussions, performances and installations focused on young people's visions for the future.

Date & time: Wednesday 13 May 2026, from 18:00 to 24:00

Venue: Palazzo Farnese, Rome (French Embassy premises)

  • Entry: free with mandatory registration while places last
  • Audience: approximately 2,000 attendees expected
  • Main feature: programme themes chosen by an editorial committee of 16–29 year olds

The event will activate all areas of the palace—basements, the top-floor library, the garden, the cinema room, the Salone d'Ercole and the Galleria dei Carracci—offering an immersive, multidisciplinary programme. Intellectuals, scientists, artists and journalists will be invited to engage with the public on topics selected by the youth committee.

The editorial committee was formed through an open call and includes students, high schoolers, young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs, with a notable international presence: around one third of members are French, the remainder mostly Italian. This mix reinforces the Franco-Italian spirit of the initiative and promotes intercultural dialogue.

How to take part

  • Registration is mandatory: register early to secure a place;
  • Visitor flow: attendees are encouraged to move freely through the palace to build their own programme of talks, performances and screenings;
  • Practical info: check any specific instructions about visiting historic spaces and accessibility.

The Notte delle Idee at Palazzo Farnese is an opportunity to experience a historic monument in a participatory way while listening to young voices shaping public debate. For the full programme and registration details consult the event's official channels.
