The UNESCO Club of Latina, together with the Art High School and Prof. Enzo Bonacci, presents the 9th International Day of Light. Recognized among nationally accredited events, the programme includes a scientific session and an artistic session, both accessible via live streaming.

Key programme items

• Institutional opening: greetings by Headteacher Anna Rita Leone; speeches by Education Councillor Federica Censi and Margherita Iantosca Ruggeri (President, Minor Chamber of Lazio); moderated by Mauro Macale, President of the UNESCO Club of Latina.
• Scientific session: talks on light and its applications in physics, neuroscience, engineering and mathematics featuring Giuseppe Viglialoro (R&D Director, PSTP), Maria Del Vecchio (Institute of Neurosciences, CNR), Paola Dimauro (INAF / Pontina Astronomy Association), Daniele Mercuri (BSc Mathematics, Sapienza University) and Simone Ciotti (Ricotech Systems). Coordination by Prof. Enzo Bonacci.
• Interlude: "Light and Shadows" magic show by young performer Salvatore Savasta (Admus).
• Artistic session (from 11:30 AM): "Dual dance" performance by students of Scuola Modulo Latina APS, directed by Laura Bernardini; lighting rig and mixer operated by Prof. Fabrizio Eftekhari and Massimiliano Lanzidei.
• Closing: musical performance by the Music Art Jam group of the Art High School, curated by Professors Antonella Petrocchi, Paolo Ciarlo and Raimondo Failla.

Streaming support is provided by Profs. Pietro Rossi and Raimondo Failla. The event is held with the patronage of the Municipality of Latina, Lions Club Sabaudia – Circeo Host, the Pontina Astronomy Association and Scuola Modulo Latina APS.
