Coinciding with the 61st Venice Biennale, the Kelterborn Collection is on view in Italy for the first time from 7 May to 27 September 2026 with the exhibition Who’s a good boy??. The show takes place at Contemporary Forces, a new nomadic art platform on Giudecca, and highlights the German collection’s emphasis on video, installations and experimental practices.
Curated by Anastasia Stravinsky and Mario von Kelterborn, and produced in collaboration with IKT (International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art), the project reflects on the notion of power «in minor tones»: politically engaged and philosophically complex works that prioritize non-traditional formats, especially video and installation.
The selection focuses on perceptual and digital languages: video essays, wall paintings, immersive installations and pieces that interrogate contemporary power relations. Historic works are presented alongside recent productions to create a critical, generational dialogue within the collection.
Dates: 7 May – 27 September 2026.
Venue: Contemporary Forces, Giudecca, Venice.
For opening hours, tickets and guided tours, check the venue’s official channels or Biennale announcements for the latest information.
The exhibition is a rare chance to see an international private collection focused on video art and experimental formats in a prominent Venetian setting. It offers critical perspectives on the intersection of aesthetics and politics and introduces Italian audiences to the collection’s curatorial approach.
Location: Venice, Giudecca 710, C, 30133 Venezia VE, Italia
