Soave returns to the Middle Ages: three days of processions, banquets

Medieval Wine Festival in Soave (15-17 May 2026)

From 15 to 17 May 2026 the historic centre of Soave revives medieval life: Scaliger walls, squares and cobbled streets host historical processions, street performances, educational camps and numerous food-and-wine events centered on Soave DOC.

Main programme

• Friday 15 May – 20:00 Medieval Banquet at the court of Cansignorio Della Scala (Palazzo del Capitano); 21:00 concert "Sugar Experience".
• Saturday 16 May – Medieval camps and educational activities in Parco della Rimembranza; markets and food stands; 21:30 concert "All Star Live".
• Sunday 17 May – 10:30 Historical Procession Imperial Castellania di Suavia; 11:00 Investiture of new Castellane and Spadarini; 15:00 Cansignorio della Scala Historical Procession; 17:30 Knight Tournament at Parco Baden Powell; 20:30 concert "Two Spance Above"; 22:30 Burning of Porta Verona (spectacular finale).
• Throughout the festival: food and wine stands, Piazzetta del Soave and Wine Fountain, antiques market, reenactments and itinerant performers.

• Medieval camps and demonstrations of traditional crafts in Parco della Rimembranza.
• Knight tournament at Parco Baden Powell featuring skill competitions.
