Trees by Isacco Emiliani: the exhibition

"Trees" showcases forty night photographs portraying the monumental trees of Bassa Romagna, produced over seven years and following 132 evening outings. The series explores the presence, strength and vulnerability of these landscape witnesses through intimate nocturnal imagery.

Opening and scheduled events

The vernissage is on Tuesday 19 May at 18:00, featuring a conversation between photographer Isacco Emiliani and researcher Valido Capodarca. The evening continues at 20:30 with "The 5,000-Year Olive" with Marina Barham (Al Harah Theatre).

• 22 May, 18:00: preview of the Lugo Music Festival with the 2026 programme presentation
• 26 May, 20:00–23:00: "Night Vision" workshop led by Isacco Emiliani (limited places, reservation required)
• 28 May: children’s workshop "The Man with the Green Coat" with illustrator Irene Penazzi (16:30 and 18:00); 21:00 book presentation "The Buddhist Sparrow" with authors Tiziano Fratus and Rosella Ghedini
• 31 May: 11:00 chamber quartet concert "Maple, Fir, Ebony"; 16:00 guided photographic walk "Along the Canale dei Molini" with Elena Ghini

Activities for schools and young people

Concurrently, the children’s section of Biblioteca Trisi hosts "Magic Trees", a display of works by school classes involved in an educational project about trees and landscape, from 18 May to 18 June 2026.
