Figures for 2025 from the Centro Studi Turistici indicate a positive trend for Foiano della Chiana, where tourism is consolidating as an economic and cultural driver in the Valdichiana Aretina area.

• Arrivals 2025: over 19,000 (about 17,000 in 2024, +12%)
• Overnight stays 2025: more than 49,000 (46,000 in 2024, +5%)
• Accommodation units: from 65 in 2024 to 82 in 2025
• Main foreign markets: United States, Korea, Germany, India
• Main Italian regions of origin: Lombardy, Lazio, Campania

The growth is linked to new investments in hotels and short-term rentals and to an offering that combines cultural heritage, food and wine and local events. Notable draws include the Carnevale di Foiano della Chiana and the Foiano Book Festival, which help prolong visitor interest throughout the year.

Mayor Jacopo Franci noted that "these figures represent an important result for the whole community," while Tourism Councillor Riccardo Reali highlighted the strategic role of cultural policies and the event calendar in strengthening local identity and promoting sustainable tourism development.
