Autore: Redazione 26/08/2025 19:12

In Rocca San Giovanni, in the province of Chieti, lies the only zoological garden in the region — the Zoo d’Abruzzo, a family-friendly destination that combines education, entertainment, and nature conservation. Visitors can enjoy a full day of discovery with educational activities, animal shows, and interactive workshops designed for both children and adults.

The Mission of the Zoo d’Abruzzo

The zoo’s motto is clear: “Know, Educate, Conserve.”

Its main goal is to raise awareness about biodiversity and the protection of ecosystems. Through guided tours and educational programs, visitors of all ages learn to observe animals respectfully, understanding their natural behaviors and the delicate balance of the environment.

Activities and Workshops for Families

The Zoo d’Abruzzo offers interactive workshops, equestrian shows, and educational sessions that make learning fun and engaging.

Children can discover lesser-known species that play vital roles in maintaining environmental balance, while adults gain a deeper appreciation for the connection between humans and nature.
