Gender-based violence: the “Never White Flag” campaign stops in Catanzaro

This morning the national campaign “Against violence towards women: never a white flag”, promoted by ANCI and the Department for Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, was presented at Palazzo De Nobili's Concert Hall in Catanzaro. The initiative emphasizes the role of municipalities in prevention, awareness and the adoption of concrete administrative tools to promote gender equality.

• Aim: embed the fight against gender-based violence into everyday administrative and cultural practices rather than limiting it to single commemorative dates.
• Tools: awareness campaigns, education on relationships, gender budgeting, women's consultative bodies and workplace anti-harassment regulations.
• Findings: ANCI's survey of 533 municipalities highlights widespread cooperation with women's networks and anti-violence centers, but fewer structural tools in smaller towns.
• Next steps: the campaign, launched in February, has already involved municipalities in the Vibo area, reached Catanzaro today and will continue with further local events.
