“Vinitaly and the City” brings wine to Verona’s historic heart

From 10 to 12 April 2026, Vinitaly’s city programme returns to Verona, activating a calendar of events that connects wine culture with art, music and gastronomy in UNESCO-listed public spaces such as Piazza dei Signori, the Courtyard of the Tribunal and the Cortile Mercato Vecchio.

The initiative caters to wine lovers and curious visitors alike, pairing tastings and masterclasses with literary talks, mixology showcases and food experiences. The event opens with a toast featuring Pinot Grigio Doc delle Venezie, the Official Wine for 2026.

Main highlights include:

• About 70 events including wine talks, guided tastings and cultural appointments;
• Access to iconic venues such as the Arena di Verona and terrace tastings at Torre dei Lamberti;
• Strada del Vino Valpolicella programme with tastings in 16 wineries (13 April–3 May);
• “Salon of rare wines” presenting 32 labels of Italy’s rare indigenous grapes with guided tastings;
• Music events and DJ sets, literary meetings and themed evenings in city venues;
• Food-focused offerings, from pizza tastings with Verace Pizza Napoletana masters to regional culinary showcases (Abruzzo, Campania, Molise, Sardinia, Calabria).

Complementary activities include Sol Expo olive oil labs, mixology experiences and initiatives targeted at younger audiences, while the strengthened focus on enotourism connects fairs and long-form winery visits beyond the city dates.
