At the opening of the eighth edition of Monfalcone Geografie, regional councillor Sebastiano Callari stressed the importance of placing culture "at the center of the square and the city", recognizing its identity, civic and educational value for local communities.

Callari noted that the festival effectively embodies a vision that speaks of the territory and its complexity, offering paths of awareness that especially involve younger generations. Culture thus becomes a tool for understanding, rootedness and growth.
