Vicenza confirms cultural appeal: nearly 9,000 visitors over the Easter weekend

During the Easter weekend (April 4–6) Vicenza's Civic Museums recorded 8,930 admissions, reinforcing a positive attendance trend. Most visitors were domestic (about 77.5%), while 17.8% came from abroad.

Top venues included:

• Basilica Palladiana: 3,290 visits; the rooftop terrace reopened and hosted the photography exhibition "Guido Harari. Incontri".
• Teatro Olimpico: 2,846 visitors; light-and-sound projections resumed, enhancing the monument's architecture.
• Palazzo Thiene: 590 entries for Diego Chilò's glass exhibition "La sfera sta".

Other highlights included the exhibition "Pittura del vero in Veneto da Favretto a Beltrame" at Palazzo Chiericati, the architectural competition "Verso il CORSO" for regenerating the former Cinema Corso, and thematic displays at the Naturalistic Archaeological Museum and the Museum of the Risorgimento and Resistance.

"Over this weekend our museum and monument heritage was appreciated by many visitors," commented Ilaria Fantin, the city councillor for culture, tourism and attractiveness, noting how temporary exhibitions bring fresh stimuli to Vicenza's cultural offer.

The attendance figures reaffirm Vicenza as a destination for visitors seeking diverse and accessible cultural experiences. Upcoming months will offer further exhibitions, urban regeneration projects and curated museum paths for those planning a visit.
