A season that marks the end of summer, the vendemmia — the grape harvest — has over time become a true tourist experience, especially in Italy, where food and wine culture are central to the nation’s culinary identity. Many Italian regions now offer visitors a complete experience to savor the authentic taste of Italian wine.
Are you ready to discover the stages of our harvest tour?
1. In Piedmont with the Infernot
The Infernot are underground wine cellars carved directly into the stone. Built from the early 19th century onward, they were ideal not only for storing bottles of wine but also for hosting meals, as shown by the engraved shelves, niches, and bottle-shaped cavities used during the coldest months.
Typical of the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato areas — recognized by UNESCO for their beauty and for being home to the production of wines such as Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG, Barbaresco, and Barolo — these lands represent a deep harmony between humans and nature.

The production zones are divided into six main areas: Langa del Barolo, the hills of Barbaresco, Nizza Monferrato and its Barbera, Canelli and Asti Spumante, the Monferrato of the Infernot, and the Castle of Grinzane Cavour. A visit here can easily be combined with a tour of charming medieval villages such as Neive or Monforte d’Alba, which have preserved their historical layouts.

2. The Hofstatter Estate in South Tyrol (Alto Adige)
Located in the heart of the village of Termeno, the Hofstatter Estate — open daily until late evening — offers visitors the chance to taste the region’s distinctive wines, such as Santa Maddalena and Gewürztraminer. Guests can stroll among the pristine vineyards and discover the fascinating process behind winemaking in South Tyrol.

To fully enjoy the flavors of Alto Adige wines, make sure to visit the region’s seven most renowned wineries, including:
3. The Ca’ di Rajo Winery in Veneto
Situated in San Polo di Piave, Ca’ di Rajo was founded in 2005 by the Cecchetto family, who had been producing wine since 1931. Today, it stands as one of Veneto’s historic wineries, producing wines such as Raboso Piave and Manzoni Bianco 6.0.13, cultivated using the Bellussera vine training system — a strikingly geometric and traditional trellising technique.

Here, visitors can enjoy a truly unique Harvest Experience, as the grape harvest takes place at night, ensuring optimal environmental conditions for the grapes and an unforgettable atmosphere among the moonlit vineyards.
4. Wine Resorts in Tuscany
Homeland of fine wine, exquisite food, and relaxation, Tuscany offers countless options for a romantic escape that combines beauty, wellness, and gastronomy. The region abounds with elegant accommodations such as Le Buche Wine Resort & Spa in Sarteano (Siena) and Toscana Resort Castelfalfi in Montaione (Florence).

Both locations allow guests to enjoy a 360° wine experience — from vineyard walks and spa treatments to refined tastings of what Italians have long called “the nectar of the gods.”

5. The Tenuta dei Mori in Umbria
Last but not least, the Relais Tenuta dei Mori in Villanova offers not only outstanding wines such as Velum and Stratus, but also a variety of immersive events — including the famous vineyard dinners and picnics.
These experiences allow guests to connect fully with nature, savoring good food and wine while surrounded by the Umbrian countryside’s tranquil beauty.
