Unicef Italy launches the fifth edition of Rights in the Municipality

Unicef Italy, supported by the patronage of ANCI, has launched the 2026 edition of the Rights in the Municipality campaign. The initiative coincides with May 27, marking the 35th anniversary of Italy's ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Adolescents.

The campaign targets municipal administrations, aiming to raise awareness among local officials, public employees and citizens about the role of municipalities in protecting and promoting children's well-being.

• Dissemination of the UN Convention via municipal institutional channels and social media;
• Use of materials provided by Unicef Italy in public offices, schools and local events;
• Option to include the anniversary celebration in municipal council and executive meeting agendas;
• Promotion of local initiatives to listen to and address the needs of younger generations.
