"One Night, One Museum": a permanent cultural network is born among Brescia museums

A three-year Protocol of Understanding between the Fondazione Provincia di Brescia Eventi and the Province of Brescia has been signed to transform the project "One Night, One Museum" into a stable, structured cultural network. Launched in 2022 and expanded in subsequent editions to involve 22 institutions, the initiative aims to strengthen promotion, accessibility and cooperation among Brescia-area museums.

The Foundation will act as coordinator, supporting communication activities and designing integrated itineraries to enhance visitor circulation, with particular attention to smaller or peripheral museums.

Key actions foreseen by the Protocol include:

• coordinated events and thematic inter-museum routes;
• shared educational projects and audience development initiatives;
• integrated access tools (museum passports, conventions) and unified communication campaigns;
• exchange of collections, skills and museum practices, and the establishment of a Technical Coordination Committee.

Participants span the provincial territory — for example the Camus – Museo Camuno, the MAVS – Archaeological Museum of Valle Sabbia, the MuSa – Museum of Salò and the Brescia Diocesan Museum — covering Valcamonica, Valtrompia, Sebino, the Brescia plain and Valtenesi. Regional support through the Avviso Unico 2024–2025 contributed to the project’s expansion and consolidation.

With the Protocol now formalized, organisers expect the network to foster greater participation, visibility and innovation in the province’s museum offer.
