Another Twentieth Century: 600 works on paper at GAM Turin

The Galleria d’Arte Moderna in via Magenta opens a major exhibition focused on 20th-century works on paper, presenting 600 selected pieces from the GAM collections. Curated by Fabio Cafagna and Elena Volpato, the show anchors the fourth edition of the exhibition format called "Quarta Risonanza," this season dedicated to drawing, sign and stroke.

• Works on display: 600 drawings, watercolors, prints and paintings across 21 rooms.
• Featured artists: leading twentieth-century names including Lucio Fontana, Giuseppe Penone, Andy Warhol, Giacomo Balla, Giorgio Morandi, Umberto Boccioni, Felice Casorati, Renato Guttuso, Roy Lichtenstein, Paul Klee, Henri Rousseau, Marino Marini, Robert Rauschenberg, Mario Schifano, Carol Rama, Bruno Spazzapan, Mario Merz, and others.
• Related projects: monographic displays and thematic projects, including a centenary exhibition for Vincenzo Agnetti, Lisetta Carmi’s photographic series, a site-specific project by Pesce Khete, and a tribute to Giorgio Griffa for his 90th birthday.
• Restoration highlights: the show features the restored triptych by Robert Rauschenberg.
• Collection source: the works come from GAM’s holdings, which include nearly 40,000 works on paper, augmented by support from Fondazione De Fornaris and Fondazione Arte CRT.
