Tourism: Valdarno Aretino posts growth — arrivals up 5.38% in 2025

Valdarno Aretino confirms positive signs for tourism: in 2025 there were 161,277 arrivals, an increase of +5.38% compared with 153,050 in 2024. Growth involved both domestic visitors (+5.49%) and international ones (+5.19%).

• Key figures: 161,277 arrivals in 2025; +5.38% vs 2024.
• Seasonal trend: notable gains in spring (April–May) and consolidation in summer; improvements also in autumn and December.
• Promotion: the area was presented on 16 March 2026 to 94 buyers during the Sharing Tuscany event organized by Toscana Promozione Turistica.
• Governance: since January 2026 the municipality of Bucine has acted as lead for the tourist area, enabling coordinated monitoring and planning.

Local operators and projects supported by Toscana Promozione Turistica — including initiatives to qualify the Valdarno Aretino’s offer — are strengthening the destination’s identity and its ability to attract higher-value segments. At the same time, there is a slight reduction in average length of stay, consistent with national trends.

An upcoming meeting between the Conference of Mayors and local trade associations will aim to coordinate projects and strategies to consolidate flows and encourage longer stays.
