Bonioni Arte gallery in Reggio Emilia (Corso Garibaldi, 43) presents the solo exhibition “Between Drifts and Movements” by artist Laura Mircea, running from April 18 to May 31, 2026. The opening takes place on Saturday, April 18 at 6:00 PM.
Born in Romania in 1979 and active in Italy, Laura Mircea works at the intersection of painting and sculpture: surfaces become bodies and materials turn into narrative devices. The show includes a critical text by Fabrizio Guerrini.
Mircea's practice produces conceptual maps of the world: emotional cartographies that alter continents and boundaries to probe memory, human traces on the earth, and hidden networks of communication. Layered surfaces and mineral materials allow the artist to examine geological transformations and the relationship between humans and nature.
The project is promoted through a network of six Italian galleries — Vecchiato Arte (Padua), Bonioni Arte (Reggio Emilia), Galleria Arte Vega (Messina), Art Luxury Gallery (Milan), Galleria Lara, Alberto e Rino Costa (Valenza) and Matteo Ragni Arte Contemporanea (Forlì) — to facilitate circulation of the works across cities.
For practical details: the catalogue is available at the gallery and the exhibition is part of a touring program with upcoming shows in other Italian venues. Contact Bonioni Arte for current opening hours and visitor information.
