Race for the Cure returns to Rome: four days at the Circus Maximus focused on prevention

From 7 to 10 May 2026, the Circus Maximus hosts the 27th edition of Race for the Cure, Komen Italia's initiative against breast cancer. The official opening on 7 May featured the National Anthem performed by the Municipal Police Band and the participation of institutional representatives and testimonials.

The Race for the Cure Village offers a free public programme addressing both secondary and primary prevention.

• Medical screenings and consultations for early diagnosis;
• Sport and fitness sessions open to everyone;
• Healthy eating workshops and psychological support;
• Scientific conferences and informational sessions on research and care.

Supported by local institutions and partners, the event aims to promote a culture of prevention and healthy lifestyles, involving volunteers, healthcare professionals and an estimated over 100,000 participants during the main days.
