Girotonno 2026 in Carloforte: eight countries, five continents

The 23rd edition of Girotonno turns Isola di San Pietro into an international culinary stage: the festival runs from 23 May to 2 June 2026, with the core programme from 29 May to 2 June and the competition final on 1 June.

At the heart of the event is the World Tuna Competition, a technical contest featuring eight countries from five continents: Australia, El Salvador, Finland, Japan, Italy, Morocco, Syria and Spain. The format combines competitive cooking, tastings with public voting, paid live cooking sessions and free evening shows.
