International Festival of Classical Theatre for Youth in Palazzolo Acreide

The INDA Foundation opens the 30th edition of the International Festival of Classical Theatre for Youth on Sunday 10 May 2026, running until Wednesday 3 June 2026 at the Greek Theatre in the Akrai archaeological area.

The festival features more than 2,000 young performers and 105 schools from across Italy and several European countries. The opening performance will be Lisistrata by Liceo Don Milani of Acquaviva delle Fonti; the closing will be the Iliad presented by the Balestra section of the Accademia d’Arte del Dramma Antico.

The official poster for the 2026 edition was created by Fabiana Pantaleo, a student at the Majorana Art High School in Gela, as part of a project with ENI, the festival’s main sponsor.

Francesco Italia, president of the INDA Foundation, highlighted the role of the festival in making young people ambassadors of classical culture. Local authorities emphasized the event’s importance for community life and the enhancement of the town’s historical heritage.
