The Umbria Region, through resolution number 426 approved on 29 April 2026, has officially nominated the Trasimeno Cycle Route for the 11th edition of the Green Road Award, Italy's award for cycle tourism.

The nomination, proposed by the regional tourism department, underlines major investments in the route and measures to improve accessibility, including signage designed according to universal design principles and QR codes linking to the Umbriatourism portal.
