Tourism Bulletin: updates from Marche, Sardinia, Pegognaga and Florence

The weekly Tourism Bulletin (17–23 April 2026) spotlights proposals for slow and cultural travel: from religious trails in the Marche to cultural events in Sardinia and the artisan fair in Florence.

  • Cittaslow and sustainability: the network promotes small towns as quality destinations, with concrete examples of accessibility and slow mobility (e.g., Chiavenna and the Valchiavenna cycle path).
  • Cammino dei Cappuccini (Marche): a route combining nature, villages and spirituality, managed by the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, offering authentic cultural experiences.
  • Conventi Aperti (Sardinia) – 26 April 2026: guided visits to Sardinian convents to showcase the island’s tangible and intangible spiritual heritage.
  • Franciscan trails in Sardinia: longer routes such as Cagliari to Laconi (about 125 km) that follow historical pilgrim paths.
  • Rankings and tourism: a study on sunniest destinations places Siracusa, Catania and Cagliari at the top; Foggia appears as the cheapest option for holiday rentals.
  • Pegognaga: recommended by the bulletin’s hosts and the setting for the short film "Ciccio Colonna", now available on Per Caso TV.
  • MIDA 90 – Florence, Fortezza da Basso (25 April–3 May 2026): the 90th International Artisan Fair with around 500 exhibitors, workshops and talks on design and craftsmanship.

The bulletin, broadcast on Canale Italia and online via Per Caso TV, underlines the continuing interest in sustainable, culture-focused travel that showcases Italy’s small-town heritage.
