Taormina marks International Jazz Day 2026

Taormina is set to join International Jazz Day 2026 with a day focused on music and local cultural promotion, supported by the Fondazione Taormina, the municipality and in partnership with Taormina Jazz APS. Events are free and open to the public.

• 18:30 - Corso Umberto: Size 46 Street Band parade, a walking musical route through the historic center bringing live music to the streets.
• 21:00 - Palazzo dei Congressi: concert by Sicilian pianist Gilda Buttà, featuring Keith Jarrett's renowned "Concerto di Colonia".

The initiative intends to strengthen Taormina's role as a stage for international cultural events, bringing jazz closer to residents and visitors and promoting the area's cultural identity. Organisers and the foundation emphasize the value of investing in music to enhance the city's cultural offer.
