Subiaco, named Italian Book Capital 2025, invites residents and visitors to an evening that blends music and storytelling. The event highlights the village's historic link to printing and promotes local cultural heritage.
On March 28, singer-songwriter Simone Cristicchi will perform a set combining songs and theatrical monologues designed to engage the audience and reflect on human themes. The performance aims to be intimate and emotionally resonant.
Admission: free. Start time: officially 17:30 (early arrival recommended).
Alongside the concert, the exhibition at the Monastery of Santa Scolastica showcases Subiaco's printing legacy. Visitors can view rare pieces, including an early movable-type Bible and other prints linked to the dawn of Italian typography.
Exhibition hours: daily 10:00-18:00 (last entry 17:45). The exhibition runs until April 19, 2026.
Date: March 28, 2026. Venue: Piazza della Resistenza, Subiaco (RM). The concert marks the closing of the Book Capital program in the town.
