Paraggi Beach: the emerald green jewel between Portofino and Santa Margherita

Autore: Redazione 01/08/2025 08:43

Green like the emerald it is, set like a gem between Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure, Paraggi beach is one of the most beautiful bays in Liguria, where time seems to slow down among historic villas and fine sand. This small cove is sheltered and protected by the Portofino promontory, which shields it from the winds and creates an almost Caribbean atmosphere.

It is ideal for snorkeling, given the shallow, sandy seabed rich in marine life. It is easy, in fact, to encounter starfish a few meters from the shore and to enjoy these marvelous little creatures that are very rare to find on other beaches. Furthermore, sandy beaches are very few in the area, and Paraggi is one of them. This aspect makes it ideal for families looking for a comfortable place to relax. The beach is small, as mentioned, but it is well-equipped, with high-end beach resorts.

From there you can enjoy the view of the lush greenery of the woods and the villas that overlook the sea from the cliffs. And if you want to spend a beautiful moment with your significant other, the "Path of Kisses" (Sentiero dei Baci) is the perfect route for a romantic walk that connects Portofino to Santa Margherita, following the coast. Furthermore, in the area, there are many seaside restaurants that offer Ligurian dishes in a gourmet style.

The panoramic path allows you to reach Paraggi, but you can also arrive by bus or boat. It is a perfect destination for those seeking relaxation with an elegant touch, and it is certainly the most refined and natural side of Liguria.
