At 1,300 meters above sea level, overlooking Lake Arvo, lies Silavventura, an adventure park immersed in the Sila National Park, just a short distance from Lorica. It’s the perfect destination for those who want to disconnect from everyday life and rediscover the thrill of freedom.
The main attraction of Silavventura is undoubtedly its zipline over Lake Arvo. Starting from a platform hidden in the woods, visitors launch themselves into the air, soaring at 70 km/h along a 600-meter steel cable.
In just a few seconds, you glide above the shimmering lake, wind in your face and heart pounding, before landing gently on the opposite shore. It’s a short but intense experience, designed for participants aged 14 and up, weighing between 45 and 100 kg. The price is €25, including equipment, briefing, assistance, and shuttle return.
During the colder months, the Sila transforms into a fairy-tale landscape. The park’s organized snowshoe hikes offer the most authentic way to experience the snow — perfect even for beginners. Suitable for ages 10 and up, they are relaxing yet thrilling excursions.
An adventure park for everyone
Silavventura is an aerial adventure park built with low environmental impact techniques, designed to welcome children, teens, and adults. No motors, no artificial noise — only wooden platforms, ropes, pulleys, and the strength of your own arms.
For those seeking new challenges, the park also features a climbing area with two 10-meter artificial walls and an innovative tree-climbing course that combines balance and technique.
The cost is €10 for three climbs (or €5 if combined with the Adventure Park entrance).
Baby Park: a forest for little explorers
The youngest visitors can safely enjoy themselves in the Baby Play Park, a fenced area with wooden houses, trampolines, slides, a baby zipline, and swings. Access is reserved for children accompanied by an adult.
Excursions and activities
Silavventura also offers guided hikes, both daytime and nighttime, to rediscover the slow rhythm of nature. Walks wind through pine and beech forests, led by certified AIGAE guides, with all necessary equipment provided — walking sticks, headlamps, and snowshoes in winter.
Another way to explore the Sila is from the water. The park offers canoe rentals (1 to 3 seats) at €40 for a half day, including life jackets — a wonderful opportunity to paddle quietly across the lake and admire the scenery from a new perspective.
Silavventura also provides mountain bike and e-bike rentals, ideal for exploring the trails of the national park:
