Sicilia in Miniatura and the Jurassic Park: All in One Place!

Autore: Redazione 31/08/2025 16:09

On Via Cassone, at the foot of Mount Etna, stands the Sicilia in Miniatura Park, a place that turns every visit into a blend of culture and fun. Here, the entire island is represented through scale reproductions, multimedia installations, and educational spaces designed to engage both children and adults.

The park’s main attraction is its collection of miniature models of Sicily’s most iconic monuments — from the Greek temples of Agrigento to the Baroque cathedrals of Noto and Modica, and from the historic palaces of Palermo to those of Catania. Each reconstruction is a meticulous work of craftsmanship, created to faithfully reproduce the artistic and architectural splendor of the island.

Alongside the main exhibition, Sicilia in Miniatura offers immersive experiences through videos, interactive panels, and educational activities that explore the history, traditions, and curiosities of the Sicilian territory. It’s a unique opportunity for students, families, and travelers to discover Sicily in an original and compact way — a cultural journey through centuries condensed into a few hours.

The Jurassic Park

Beyond its cultural appeal, the park also features a fascinating section dedicated to dinosaurs: the Jurassic Park, an adventure that combines science, discovery, and entertainment — ideal for families, school groups, and paleontology enthusiasts.

Walking through its paths, visitors come face to face with Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, Velociraptors, and Brachiosaurs, all recreated with remarkable attention to detail. These full-scale reconstructions are not only visually impressive but also educational, illustrating the features, habitats, and unique traits of each prehistoric species.

Services and Activities

To make the experience even more engaging, the park includes children’s workshops, interactive exhibits, virtual reality simulations, and excavation zones where young explorers can play at being paleontologists. It’s an innovative way to learn through play, sparking curiosity and imagination

The park also offers plenty of relaxation areas, with shaded zones, refreshment points, and picnic spots — perfect for spending an entire day surrounded by nature and culture.
