Main dates: 8–14 July 2026. The week features guided tours, exhibitions and conferences dedicated to the Art Nouveau (Liberty) movement and its architectural legacy.
This international initiative highlights early 20th-century artistic heritage through curated routes that showcase villas, historic palaces, gardens and monumental cemeteries where the Liberty style is still visible.
Nationally, the program offers special openings and themed routes in over 750 activities across Italy, designed by certified tour guides to provide access to buildings usually closed to the public.
One of the most distinctive offerings are guided visits to Italy’s monumental cemeteries — stone cities preserving funerary sculptures and monuments in the Liberty style. Participating sites include major examples such as Milan’s Monumentale, Genoa’s Staglieno and Bologna’s Certosa, where funerary art tells social and artistic stories of the 19th and 20th centuries.
All visits are led by qualified guides and require prior reservation. Typical tour length: 1 to 3 hours. Check local schedules for exact meeting points and times.
Art Nouveau Week is an opportunity to visit often inaccessible monuments, deepen knowledge of architectural and artistic contexts, and discover Liberty traces in less-known towns. Recommended for residents, art lovers and cultural tourists.
