On Saturday 11 April the retrospective titled "A Life of Shapes and Colors" was inaugurated at the Sala Conferenze Ilaria Alpi in the Town Hall. The exhibition showcases the work of Francesco Luchino, highlighting his focus on everyday scenes, urban atmospheres and the emotional intensity of his paintings.
The opening was attended by many local residents, the artist's family and figures from the local cultural scene, including Orazio Geraci. Also present were Mayor Giulia Guazzora and Councillor Aldo Parola.
An autodidact born and raised in San Mauro, Luchino combined his work as a decorator with painting, transforming daily experience into images that express silences and feelings not easily put into words. Over the years he participated in several solo and group exhibitions and received local recognition.
The exhibition is a chance to rediscover the sensitive viewpoint of an artist connected to his territory: visitors interested in contemporary painting and urban narratives will find worthwhile material for reflection.
