Palazzo Madama presents the Turin stop of Monumenta Italia, an itinerant public art project by Irene Pittatore curated by Tea Taramino. Installed in the Piccola Guardaroba and the Chinese Cabinet, the work examines the limited number of monuments dedicated to women and their visibility in the urban landscape.
The display includes posters, postcards, video material and a banner to highlight the findings of the "Monumental forgetfulness" census. Visitors are invited to take part: suggestions sent via QR code will be collected and published in the project catalogue, turning the exhibition into an open civic workshop.
Note: Check the museum's official website for the latest information on times and fares before your visit. The intervention is part of the MonumenTO public programme and encourages reflection on identity, collective memory and urban heritage.
