The Salone del Mobile, now in its 64th edition, will take place from 21 to 26 April at Rho Fiera Milano, reaffirming its status as one of the most important international events for the furniture and design sector. Founded in 1961 during Italy’s economic boom, with the aim of promoting furniture exports, it has grown from 328 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors to impressive figures: today it attracts thousands of companies and hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world, becoming the centrepiece of Milan Design Week.
The 2026 edition, chaired by Maria Porro, will host over 1,900 exhibitors from 32 countries across more than 169,000 square metres. The theme ‘A Matter of Salone’ reflects on the importance of materials in design, with a focus on sustainability through dedicated installations and masterclasses.
Alongside the main event, there will be themed sections such as the International Bathroom Exhibition, EuroCucina, SaloneSatellite for young designers and the new Salone Raritas dedicated to collectible design. Across the city, FuoriSalone will enrich the experience with a wide range of events.
Open to industry professionals, students and the public at weekends, the Salone offers a range of price points and is easily accessible by public transport, train and car.
