Prix Italia 2026: 78th edition in L'Aquila

The Prix Italia, promoted by RAI and celebrating excellence in radio, television and multimedia, will be held in L'Aquila from 28 September to 2 October 2026. The festival will feature screenings, premieres and an international competition bringing together creators and broadcasters.

• Venue: historic centre of L'Aquila (first time the Prix Italia is hosted in the city centre)
• Dates: 28 September - 2 October 2026
• Participants: over 100 broadcasters from about 90 countries
• Competition sections: Radio & Podcast, TV and Digital (entries open until 8 June)
• Special awards: Prize in honour of the President of the Republic, Signis Prize, YLAB Prize (judged by students)
• Edition president: Corey Baker, director and choreographer (edition focused on performing arts)
• Local support: Regione Abruzzo and the Film Commission to foster coproductions and local projects

Organisers highlight the symbolic importance of L'Aquila as a site of renewal and innovation, and expect the festival to generate cultural visibility and production opportunities for the region.
