Priverno: 'Maggio dei Libri 2026' — Compagnia dei Lepini unveils program in symbolic local sites

The Compagnia dei Lepini takes part in Maggio dei Libri 2026, the national reading promotion campaign running from 23 April to 31 May. The initiative creates a distributed cultural itinerary across the Monti Lepini, networking libraries, cultural institutions and local identity spaces.

• Abbey of Valvisciolo – events focused on the relationship between reading and interior/spiritual life, set in a historically evocative location.
• Priverno – sessions exploring the dialogue between literature and territory, with emphasis on local historical and cultural memory.
• Norma – activities aimed at fostering social interaction and intergenerational exchange through reading.

As Quirino Briganti notes, “the 2026 theme highlights reading as a means of connection between people and communities.” The programme, which will progressively involve other towns in the Lepini area, seeks to make reading accessible and participatory while strengthening local identity.
