Spring in Valnerina: Sant'Anatolia di Narco in Bloom (19th Edition)

From Friday, 1 May to Sunday, 3 May 2026 the Umbrian village of Sant'Anatolia di Narco will host the 19th edition of Spring in Valnerina - The historic center of Sant'Anatolia in bloom, a market-event focused on gardening, plant nurseries and local specialties. The festival animates the historic center with exhibitions, educational workshops and entertainment for all ages.

Highlights

• Opening ceremony: Friday, May 1 at 11:30 in the historic center.
• Exhibition stands throughout the alleys and squares, open daily from 10:00 (specific activities have varied schedules).
• Guided tours of the Hemp Museum and weaving/spinning workshops (times: Friday 10:00-12:00; Saturday and Sunday also 15:30-17:30).
• Workshops and demonstrations: mozzarella stretching demonstrations (Friday and Sunday 10:00-19:00), propagation and soil labs, microscopy and 'Bees and Biodiversity' activities.
• Exhibitions: 'Ritratti Materici' at the Hemp Museum and 'Art Born from the Soul' (painting), on display across the three days.
• Special events: itinerant concert by the Spoleto Marching Band and historical costume parade (Friday 15:30), 'Agri-Orienteering' botanical trail for children and families, grafting demonstration and children's reading workshop 'I Fioretti di San Francesco'.

• Stalls and market: daily from 10:00.
• Hemp Museum guided tours and workshops: Friday 10:00-12:00; Saturday and Sunday 10:00-12:00 and 15:30-17:30.
• Mozzarella stretching demo: Friday and Sunday 10:00-19:00 (Latteria Saccoccia, Montebibico di Spoleto).
• Saturday labs: 'Propagation, Soil and Plants' and 'Microscopy' 10:00-13:00; 'Bees and Biodiversity' 10:00-18:00.
• Meetings and demos: Saturday 16:00 talk on local Umbrian fruit trees; Sunday 16:00 grafting demo; Sunday 16:30 children's reading workshop (ages 6-12).

The event is organized by the Municipality of Sant'Anatolia di Narco with support from the BIM Nera and Velino Consortium and funding from the GAL Valle Umbra e Sibillini.
