From May 9 to September 13, 2026, the Museo d’Arte Orientale at Ca’ Pesaro presents From Water To Form, a solo exhibition by Keita Miyazaki centered on the relationship between water, material and memory. The project combines museum installations with a public, site-specific work on the Giudecca, creating a sensory route that engages with Venice’s unique urban and cultural landscape.
The exhibition treats water as both a physical element and a symbol of transformation, continuity and rebirth. Miyazaki’s works emphasize craftsmanship and the creative process, establishing a dialogue between historical artifacts and contemporary practices. The result is an immersive, contemplative display that rewards slow looking.
Outside the museum, the artist presents a modular sculpture designed to interact with the construction sites and public spaces of the Giudecca. This site-specific installation converses with Venice’s artisanal traditions while reinterpreting the urban context.
Why visit: the exhibition creates meaningful connections between East and West and between tradition and innovation, turning Venice into a space for cultural exchange and reflection on time and materiality.
