PARMA 360: Contemporary Creativity Festival marks its 10th edition with

PARMA 360: tenth edition and the theme LUX

From April 18 to June 2, 2026, Parma becomes a city-wide laboratory of contemporary art with PARMA 360 Festival of Contemporary Creativity. Now in its tenth year, the festival reaffirms its role as an observatory for Italy's creative scene, presenting exhibitions, installations, performances and educational activities across museum and urban settings.

What to expect

Curated by Chiara Canali and Camilla Mineo, the program blends artistic research with public participation and emphasizes urban regeneration through site-specific projects. The festival consistently brings established and emerging artists into dialogue across diverse city locations.

Figures and venues

• 9 editions from 2016 to 2025
• More than 20 city locations used as a "diffuse museum" (museums, oratories, stations, repurposed industrial areas)
• Over 70 official exhibitions and around 200 artists involved in previous editions

The theme: LUX

For its tenth edition the festival adopts "LUX. Visions on Light" as the central theme. Light is examined as an expressive language and material: installations and works probe the border between perception and matter, turning visitors into active participants in sensory experiences.

Highlighted exhibitions and projects

• Morphology Light. Journey into the Shape of Light – Galleria San Ludovico: a solo exhibition by Antonio Barrese exploring light as a structural and perceptual element, with historical and recent works.
• Michael Kenna. The River Po. Writings of Light – Piano Nobile of Palazzo Pigorini: a selection of black-and-white photographs that trace the Po through a contemplative, light-driven approach.
• Quadrifluox – Second floor of Palazzo Pigorini: curated by Piergiuseppe Molinar, this project uses fluorescent inks to rethink the relationship between paper, image and light.
