Prato opens the "Sala della Costituzione"

On 16 May 2026 the Province of Prato inaugurated the new Sala della Costituzione, a public venue in via Cairoli designed to host exhibitions, public meetings, events and cultural activities for the local community.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by the provincial president Simone Calamai, provincial councillors Paola Vettori and Rita Biagi, local representatives and students who participated by reading the opening articles of the Italian Constitution.

President Calamai emphasized that dedicating the hall to the Constitution aims to recall the values of freedom, participation and solidarity that underpin democratic coexistence. Provincial venues have hosted hundreds of events in recent years, demonstrating the local demand for open spaces for dialogue and creativity.

The Sala della Costituzione is intended as a reference point for the administration, schools, associations and citizens, reinforcing the Province's commitment to the enhancement of public spaces.
