ASI historic motoring: certified cultural heritage

A conference held at the Parliamentary Hall of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, organised by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI), was titled “Certifying to protect and promote – Italian historic motoring: the social value of a unique global heritage”. The meeting formalised steps to enhance the sector, focusing on conservation, technical training and promotion of Made in Italy.

During the event, Accredia competence certifications were awarded to ASI's National Technical Commissioners, recognising the professional qualifications of technicians who safeguard historic vehicles. Institutional and sector representatives attended, emphasising the cultural and social importance of motor heritage preservation.

  • Accredia certification: officially granted to ASI Technical Commissioners, providing nationally and internationally recognised professional status.
  • Cultural and social value: historic motoring is presented as a means to preserve industrial memory and engage younger generations.
  • Promotion of territory and Made in Italy: protection activities and events can support tourism, education and local development.
  • Institutional cooperation: the conference highlighted dialogue between federations, the Ministry and the Automobile Club of Italy to strengthen the public role in safeguarding historic vehicles.

Speakers stressed that competence, protection and professionalism are key to turning enthusiasm for vintage vehicles into tangible benefits for the community, with attention to low-impact initiatives and youth involvement.
