According to an Agriturist Umbria survey covering the period from April 25 to May 1, the region experienced a recovery led mainly by Italian tourists. The picture combines encouraging booking trends with operational concerns raised by local operators.

• Domestic majority: most accommodations report predominately Italian clientele.
• Mixed flows: 15% of businesses report an 80% Italian / 20% foreign split; 10% report a 60%/40% balance; 8% see parity and another 8% a foreign majority.
• Staffing issues: operators report growing difficulties in finding staff during peak periods, which could affect service quality.
• Administrative disputes: Agriturist Umbria and Confagricoltura have asked Anci Umbria, municipalities and the regional authority to halt measures related to a local waste tax (Tari) they deem non-compliant.
