Per filo e per segno. Textile Art Pathways in Italy

BUILDING BOX hosts a curated project by Alberto Fiz dedicated to contemporary textile art. Running from 15 January 2026 to 7 January 2027, the program features twelve monthly solo exhibitions that examine fabric as material, memory and spatial device.

Artists and schedule (second quarter)

  • Antonio Marras — 10 April 2026 – 6 May 2026: an installation combining garments from the artist's archive with textile interventions and glazed ceramics tailored to the venue.
  • Maria Lai — 8 May 2026 – 4 June 2026: presentation of emblematic works including Telaio (2006) and Libro rosso (2009), highlighting her participatory approach to textile practice.
  • Paola Pezzi — 6 June 2026 – 2 July 2026: site-specific works and textile pieces exploring weave, knot and materiality.

Why attend

The series offers a broad view of Italian textile art, from tapestries and garments to installations and sculptures. It emphasizes the material and relational qualities of fabric, bridging tradition and contemporary experimentation.

  • Dates: 15/01/2026 – 07/01/2027
