The itinerant exhibition “Agostino Straulino: The Sea as a School of Life” opens at Palazzo Corrado Alvaro, the Metropolitan City headquarters in Reggio Calabria. The show highlights the life and achievements of Admiral Straulino, a symbol of Italian seamanship and a legend in international sailing, using informative panels and multimedia displays.
The exhibition is promoted by the Lega Navale Italiana – Reggio Calabria Section in cooperation with the Convitto Nazionale “Tommaso Campanella” and is sponsored by the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria. A memorandum of understanding between the Metropolitan City and the Lega Navale will be signed at the opening to promote joint cultural and educational initiatives.
The inauguration is scheduled for April 13 at 9:30 AM and will include the exhibition presentation and participation by students from the Convitto Nazionale “Tommaso Campanella”, who will serve as Ambassadors of the Sea to guide visitors through the displays.
This exhibition is recommended for visitors interested in maritime history and educational exhibits about an important figure in Italian sailing, presented with accessible and multimedia resources.
