To mark 100 years since the premiere of Turandot (April 25, 1926), the Puccini Museum Casa Natale in Lucca presents an exhibition tracing the opera's staging history. The display occupies several museum rooms and brings together archival materials and theatrical objects.
The exhibition aims to recreate the atmosphere of the inaugural night and explain how scenographic and costume choices shaped the reception of the work in Italy and abroad. It offers a rare chance to see restored items and to learn about the historical and artistic context of the 1926 La Scala production.
Practical information:
The event is organised by the Fondazione Giacomo Puccini in collaboration with the Museo del Tessuto di Prato and is part of the "I musei del Sorriso" festival programme promoted by the Lucca provincial museum system.
