Milano Art Week 2026: three contemporary installations and the 'purple

Autore: Redazione 13/04/2026 17:19

Milano Art Week 2026 at the Cittadella degli Archivi

During Milano Art Week 2026 the Cittadella degli Archivi presents a trio of contemporary art interventions by three artists whose practices engage painting, sculpture and outdoor installation.

Artists and works

  • Alfredo Rapetti Mogol — "Lettere dall'uragano": monochrome paintings on raw canvases and aged papers that translate his textual sensibility into a refined minimalist pictorial language.
  • Sergio Limonta — "Something new: lights, lines, shapes": sculptural pieces made from reclaimed materials, transformed into luminous forms and polished surfaces through meticulous craftsmanship.
  • Albert Pinya — "Riscoprendo Munari": five ironical, iconic masks in yellow-painted aluminium inspired by Bruno Munari’s variations on the human face, installed in the outdoor gardens.

The renewed garden and the rose theme

The works interact with the Cittadella’s renovated gardens, enhanced by more than 1,500 new plantings — including maples, viburnums, loropetali and cornels — and notably by 1,000 new red rose bushes, which give the event its evocative name.
