PAYSAGE+ AIMABLE: Ormea hosts discussion on slow tourism and territorial development

On April 14 in Ormea, at the “Società Operaia 1889” multipurpose hall, the Province of Cuneo organized a territorial workshop within the PAYSAGE+ AIMABLE project. The meeting gathered entrepreneurs, operators and local stakeholders to rethink the tourist offer of Alta Val Tanaro and Cebano with an integrated and sustainable approach.

  • Goal: broaden and diversify the tourist offer focusing on slow tourism, wellness, outdoor activities, family, accessibility and food & wine.
  • Key issues: territorial fragmentation, transport challenges and the need for coordinated communication.
  • Planned actions: promotion of soft mobility (walking routes, cycle-hiking itineraries), training and participatory labs via the establishment of a Product Club.

The project is part of the Interreg VI-A France-Italy ALCOTRA 2021-2027 cooperation programme and brings together public and private partners including Ente Turismo Langhe Monferrato Roero, Province of Cuneo, ATL del Cuneese and French counterparts. The initiative runs from May 2025 to May 2028.

Next meeting: Tuesday, April 21 from 10:00 to 13:00, a further session at the same venue aimed at local administrators and stakeholders, featuring a round table on DeepTrends and contributions from regional experts. Free entry with registration.
