Taranto: Touring Club fosters dialogue between cultural heritage and sustainable economy

On Saturday 18 April the Old Town (Città vecchia) of Taranto will host "Il Touring incontra la città: a dialogue between cultural heritage and sustainable economy", promoted by Touring Club Italiano - Taranto Territorial Club together with Circolo ARTAVA APS ETS and with the city's patronage. The day aims to connect heritage valorisation, local networks and economic opportunities linked to sustainable tourism.

• 10:00: area at Palazzo di Città with association stands, displays (including a vintage Vespa) and tastings;
• 10:30: official opening in the Salone degli Specchi with institutional greetings and a panel on territorial development;
• 16:00: guided tour of the Old Town focused on urban recovery and diffuse hospitality;
• 18:00: technical meeting on bed & breakfast models, slow tourism and reuse of historic buildings;
• 20:00: concert "Note in Tour between Opera and Tradition" featuring soprano Lorena Zaccaria and pianist Gabriele Pedone.

The initiative highlights local excellences and practical tools to support the area's economic development through culture and responsible tourism.
