Passerella Mediterranea – "Donne NON pupe": XI edition presented at Palazzo Reale

Milan — The cultural project linking Puglia and Milan was presented at Palazzo Reale. Part of Milano Set Mediterraneo, the platform connects culture, territory and local craftsmanship.

• Dates: 15–18 October 2026.
• Main themes: promotion of Puglian craftsmanship (Grottaglie ceramics, bridal haute couture, festive lighting) and positioning Puglia as a luxury wedding destination.
• "Donne NON pupe" Award: annual prize for women who stand out for social and cultural commitment; the 2026 award will be given to a multi‑medal Olympic champion.
• Ethics Charter: the Taranto and Mediterranean Ethics Charter “Education to sport free from stereotypes”, developed with the University of Salento, will be presented during the Mediterranean Games.
• Partners: Region of Puglia, City of Milan, Chamber of Commerce of Taranto-Brindisi, Soroptimist, Puglia Promozione and other local institutions.

Organizers say the initiative aims to turn tradition into cultural and economic value, building lasting ties between North and South while promoting social inclusion and gender equality.
