Langhe Safari Park – Africa Close to Home!

Autore: Redazione 29/08/2025 18:20

In Piedmont, you’ll find the Langhe Safari Park, one of the largest zoological parks in Italy.

With just one ticket, visitors can explore the pedestrian area, walking just a few steps away from the animals; venture into a 4 km car safari; and visit the reptile and tropical biodiversity pavilion, where giant tortoises and many other exotic creatures await.

Animals of the Biopark

A true symbol of European forest culture, the red deer embodies the spirit of adaptability and resilience. Unfortunately, it is also a species at serious risk, representing a treasure of biodiversity that must be protected.

But the park is home to many other fascinating species: lions, tigers, Asian wild asses, Sri Lankan leopards, Vietnamese pigs, white-tailed gnus, and numerous other inhabitants from across the animal kingdom.

The park’s most famous resident is Regina, its beloved jaguar, who has reached the remarkable age of 23 years—an extraordinary milestone for this species!

Experience the Backstage!

One of the park’s most exciting initiatives is the Backstage Experience, which allows a small group (maximum 10 people) to purchase an extra ticket (€5) and go behind the scenes with an expert animal keeper.

This exclusive experience offers a thrilling and close-up encounter: participants can watch the animals during feeding time—standing just a few meters away from tigers, lions, and wolves—while learning fascinating facts and stories about the park.

The extra ticket can be pre-booked by phone but must be confirmed and purchased on-site by 1:00 PM on the same day.

During July and August, the backstage experience is available only on Saturdays and Sundays, while on weekdays it is reserved for groups of at least four people.

The tour, suitable for adults and children aged 8 and above, takes place on foot and is conducted in Italian only. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

The backstage tour begins around 2:00 PM (no later than 2:30 PM), and the exact time is confirmed upon reservation at the park. The duration is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
