Parco Faunistico di Spormaggiore: to Discover the True Heart of Trentino

Autore: Redazione 31/08/2025 15:58

Located on the Paganella Plateau, among the majestic Brenta Dolomites, the Parco Faunistico di Spormaggiore is a place where visitors can experience the authentic essence of Trentino.

Founded in 1994, the park was created with an important mission: to offer a safe home to bears rescued from captivity, giving them a spacious, natural environment carefully designed to resemble their original habitat. Over time, its mission expanded, transforming it into a true sanctuary of Alpine wildlife, where every animal lives in harmony with nature, free to express its natural rhythms and behaviors.

Walking along the shaded trails, accompanied by the rustling of leaves and the song of birds, you can admire brown bears playing or resting in the shade, graceful lynxes, majestic wolves, curious foxes, royal owls gliding silently, and wildcats moving swiftly through the underbrush. The observation areas are designed to let visitors watch the animals up close — always with respect and without intrusion.

For children (and anyone who loves farm animals), the educational farm is a must-see. Here, among wooden fences and sunny meadows, live goats eager for cuddles, soft, hopping rabbits, hens, peacocks, ponies, and adorable guinea pigs. It’s an experience that blends fun and learning, helping the youngest visitors develop a sense of respect and care for nature.

The park offers everything needed for a comfortable visit: a snack bar for a tasty break, a souvenir shop with gifts inspired by Alpine wildlife, picnic tables surrounded by greenery, and a playground area where children can have fun between one adventure and the next.

Opening Hours

From June 1st to September 28th, the park is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
